On June 18, 2010, the Whidbey News-Times reported that due to strict budget reductions the Island County Sheriff’s office would, in a worst case scenario, have to cut up to 10 deputy positions.

Then, on August 20, 2010, the same newspaper reported that Island County Deputy Sheriff Henry Schwab was charged with DUI after he crashed his motor cycle.

I have a quick an easy suggestion for the good Island County Sheriff:  I think cutting one of the potential ten positions has become a whole lot easier!
